It was a privilege to participate to a round-table discussion on novel protection strategies and advanced materials during the TeChBioT EDF Project event, focusing on the development of a resilient CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear) framework. The discussion brought together perspectives from defence and civilian protection sectors, highlighting market needs, stakeholder engagement, and future research directions.

The event also provided an opportunity to represent Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin (UMCS), with participation supported by the SONATA-19 project funded by the National Science Centre (NCN), Poland. The project focuses on the development of multifunctional porous carbon textile-based materials for protection against hazardous chemical vapors, contributing to next-generation protective technologies.

Congratulations to all project partners, including the Royal Military Academy and the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas (CERTH), for organizing such a well-structured and impactful event. Beyond the scientific discussions, the meeting fostered valuable exchanges, new collaborations, and connections that will help advance future research and innovation in the field of CBRN protection.
